Gloria Turner is an artist who has worked at the Penrose Library in Colorado for almost 20 years. For many years she has been visually journaling, both writing and illustrating her journey. Detours of the Soul is a distilled essence of a few of her journals. Drawing and mixed media are her primary medium, She also enjoys painting portraits of her two children and grandchildren. Coming up with children’s book characters and stories has always been a passion of Gloria’s. She cannot seem to leave the house without carrying two or three bags, and reads too much. When she’s not reading she walks around with an audiobook. Her home is still in Colorado Springs, but she resides in her heart.
